Safety & Orientation
Currently the oil & gas industry lacks engaging training animation materials. We were approached and challenged to create a safety training animation that would finally engage the rig workers, and be used as part of their normal procedures.
This animation was part of comprehensive media piece that also introduced rig visitors and service personnel to the oilrig. To this date, anybody visiting the rig must watch this video before entering. This animation / video clearly illustrates the unique features of the CDR2-AC (Coil Tube Drilling Rig), its fire exits, muster areas, warning areas such as the pipe shed, cellar and rig floor.
Rig workers watch this video as well as go through their ops manuals during pre-job meetings. Being able to see the parts and cutaways helps the rig worker visualize what is outlined in the ops manual; this is useful even for workers that are familiar with the procedure, because it provides an opportunity for review and discussion
